About

Established 2009. Skeptical since day one.

Aitako started as a software consultancy: building applications, guiding CTOs, and rescuing projects that had gone off the rails. Sixteen years and a few technology fashion cycles later, we do one thing: bring AI into companies, carefully.

Why the anti-hype stance exists.

Our founder has spent more than twenty years in corporate engineering leadership, a lot of it cleaning up after enthusiasm. The pattern was always the same: a company adopts whatever the analysts and conference keynotes are excited about, the build goes sideways, and someone like us gets called to sort it out. Our original website openly made fun of chasing whatever Gartner says. We have not changed our minds.

AI is the biggest technology wave we've seen, and it comes with the biggest wave of nonsense. Both things are true. Most "AI transformation" pitches are noise. Underneath the noise there are automations that genuinely save a small business hundreds of hours a year. Our job is telling one from the other before your money is involved, and we're suited to it precisely because we spent two decades watching what happens when nobody does.

Where the experience comes from.

The first Aitako era was spent inside serious environments: Fortune 500 companies and highly regulated clients in mining, banking, petrochemicals, logistics, and construction. That world runs on regulated data, security reviews, auditors, and legal teams, and you don't survive it by improvising. It's why our AI work treats HIPAA, SOC 2, and business risk as part of the job, not someone else's problem, and why we can advise on the failure modes AI brings with it, from prompt injection to data leaking where it shouldn't.

The lines we run the business by.

Your success is our success. We'd rather have a happy acquaintance than an unhappy client. We value partnerships more than profit. Those three sentences predate the AI pivot by more than a decade, and every one of them has been tested. Referring work away when the fit is wrong costs revenue. It also means everyone who does become a client actually belongs here.

Have a conversation, not a pitch.

Bring your skepticism. We've been polishing ours since 2009.
